Ok. So, these Kendrick Lamar X Collin Tilley visual collaborations have been giving me all the life so far this year. Since releasing TPAB in March, Kendrick has been giving us a lot to think about with every visual release thereafter. Now with the fifth single off TPAB titled "These Walls" featuring Bilal, Anna Wise, and Thundercat, Lamar and Tilley are serving up some comic relief in this thought-inducing series of visuals. The video begins in a cell where Comedian Cory Holcolmb is telling the inmates about how he ended up there and the flashback goes into what seems to be the quintessential black kickback. Fully equipped with good vibes, card games, twerking, and everything in-between. A real good looking time if you ask me! The scene then takes us to a meet up in a vehicle between Comedian Terry Crews, Lamar, and one other associate where Crews is extremely adamant about getting some money. This leads us to the epic talent show crash performance of "Hit The Quan" featuring both Lamar and Crews! Totally hilarious! Kendrick's lyricism mixed with Collin's visual execution has been more than noteworthy this year with "Alright" winning a VMA and all. I wonder what else they have in store for us.
